Description Vaibhavi 2024-10-16 08:23:34 UTC
Description:
In our application with a document converter with libreoffice 7.3.7 or 7.6.5 or 7.6.5 or 24.8, add an image to a section, export the section to docx, see that the image come outside the margins of the page.

Alternatively, use the provided odt and convert it to docx in a document converter, 7.3.7 currently available
Alternatively, convert it directly in a libreoffice application on your desktop

Steps to Reproduce:
Issue tested to be present in libre office version 7.3.7, (and not yet used 7.6.7, 7.6.5,. and 24.8).
This was working correctly in previous document converter with libre office 6.0.7.3.

Note 7.3.7 was recently rolled out (between november 2023 and march 2024).
Drillplan is the first customer complaining about this that I know of. Not sure why we haven't heard from other customers.

To my knowledge following reported bugs were fixed between libreoffice 6.0.7.3 and 7.3.7:
 - some docx document that fails to convert to PDF with 6.0.7.3, but that 7.3.7 handles well.
 - Loss of content from a docx bug was also the main reason why we upgraded to 7.3.7.
 - chinese fonts were added on top of 7.3.7 document converter image.

Impact:
Wrong output.

Actual Results:
Document converter converts ODT to DOCX without resizing the pictures outside the page margins.

Expected Results:
Document converter converts ODT to DOCX without resizing the pictures outside the page margins.

Reproducible: Always

Sorry, the attached file is an image, not an ODT file.
