Description 1007140 2024-10-17 12:19:36 UTC
Description:
Working on a long book (abt 200 pages, abt 70 pictures).
Pictures are CMYK TIF's since I was required so.
I get repeated crashes on saving. The last one says:
"Error saving the document TESTATIKA INTERNO_EDITED_STAGE3:
Write Error.
Error in writing sub-document SfxBaseModel::storeSelf: 0x70c23(Error Area:Sw Class:Write Code:35) arg1=content.xml."
I am attaching the crash log.
Happens *almost* always.
The odt is very long because of the images (some 100 MBs), I have 8 GB RAM. Not sure if this matters or not.

Steps to Reproduce:
The original odt loads fine, but once I do some changes and save the crash occurs. This also happens on autosave.

Actual Results:
I get a crash requester as indicated

Expected Results:
...

Reproducible: Always

Sorry unfortunately I cannot have LO sending crash reports automatically because, for some reason, it says "SSL connect error". I must specify that my PC is *perfectly functional* and Internet is functional also, no idea why this happens.

Can you share the file?
Comment 4 1007140 2024-10-21 21:12:05 UTC
Sorry I cannot share the file because it is copyrighted material. I thought that the crash log was eloquent enough...

I can just confirm that removing all cmyk tif images and replacing them with rgb png ones, I am getting no more crashes on saving. The program still tends to crash at random though, it is not very stable, at least working on a book with about 200 A5 pages and about 70 images (no tables), but it is evidently about distinct bugs

Then please follow this to produce a file that you can share in public and that still shows the crash: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission
