(Ubuntu 24.4 - GNOME - GTK3)

- open e.g. Writer or Calc document
- Alt-F (menu File opens)
- Right (should go to menu Edit)
  > menu closes

- Alt-O (menu Format opens)
- Left / Right (should go to previous, next main menu)
  > menu closes

No repro. The New submenu opens immediately, but you can hit Right arrow two times to advance or Left to go to Help.

Could be specific to GNOME DE?
