Description Jeff Fortin Tam 2024-10-25 20:24:56 UTC
In the spreadsheet conditional formatting dialog's rules sub-dialog, when editing a particular "Formula is" rule, it would be extremely convenient to be able to see a syntax helper tooltip as you type/modify the formula, just like when you type in the main Calc window's formula bar.

UX Team -- please take a look at this enhancement. Thanks!

Sounds to me as over-engineering. Sure, it is convenient but if you copy/paste not necessary. I mean you don't program formulas in the CF dialog, do you?

I think it may well be that you want a formula for CF that you do not use in the spreadsheet yourself.
(Me using this formula feature in CF only very rare.)

We discussed the topic in the design meeting. And the majority welcomes this kind of assistance (and not just limited to the CF dialog).
