Description David Alden 2024-10-28 21:35:17 UTC
Description:
When exporting a LibreOffice .odf document with more than four formulas to PDF using the Direct button or the File/Export to PDF selection regardless of option settings a useless file is generated when the .odf document contains five or more formulas. In contrast the print button using "print to file" creates a useable PDF file.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new Formula document
2. Select five example formulas from the Elements/Examples menu and add two 'newline' after each one
3. Enter Document Title in Properties, click 'save as' and supply unique file name
4. Click Export Directly as PDF (defaults are fine)
5. Click Print(ctrl-P) and select General/'Print to File' with 'LibreOffice Math' Title box checked and "Print" with a unique filename
6. View the two .pdf files created in 4 and 5 above with Google Chrome (or other web browser) or in a PDF viewer

Actual Results:
Documents are all saved as files but only the .pdf document saved with the 'Print' button to a file is usable for viewing or printing.

Expected Results:
Both the 'Export Directly as PDF' and the 'Print to File' .pdf output files should be usable for viewing and printing.

Reproducible: Always

Yes, the export to PDF needs improvement for Math module. This problem has already been reported as bug 123117.
