xlsx from Apple Numbers (anonymized) with column width problem

I have a LO Calc spreadsheet (xlsx) that resizes the column width every time it opens the file. It was created as an Apple Numbers sheet and emailed to me as an xlsx. I can set the column width to "optimal" and it's just fine. But that does not "stick" when I save as xlsx and re-open - the columns become too narrow. How can I lock the column width?
If I save as xls this does not happen - column widths remain as intended.

It has been proposed that this is the same phenomenon as seen in bug 153391.

Assuming this is bug 153391 and that is WFM indeed.
