This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is br-9f3b04fd-cfe3-4381-9ff4-72d900dbbe80.

This has repeatedly happened even after removing all of the usual suspects:
PC was restarted.
Besides for the desktop and startup files, nothing unusual is being done by this OP.

Included is a screenshot of what the recovered file looks like BEFORE attempting to open a Table of Contents.

The two pages consist of a page ready for inseting a TOC and a second page consisting of Header 1 and a couple of lines of unformatted empty paragraphs.
