Description HTK300 2024-11-10 11:08:45 UTC
Description:
font size and types of comments along when zooming spreadsheets are inconsistent. When trying to modify them, headline fonts and its sizes are not following along with personal comments being entered.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. within a CALC sheet enter a comment to a cell
2. try to consistently adapt all comment fonts similarly
3. to do that edit the comment, then select all using [Ctrl]-A
4. then modify the font type and size

Actual Results:
the header of each comment has different font and size in particular, which is hard to be changed at all. comments are not consistent overall with respect to font character and sizes.

Expected Results:
I think before you enter any comment into the text field one must change the font/size upfront - then enter your own comment which then renders about the same font type and size.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
when increasing the spreadsheets zoom level, comments to zoom as well which probably should only be related to the video card pixel setting

Hello HTK300,

Thank you for reporting the bug. I can confirm that the bug is present in LibreOffice version 24.8.2.1 (current version) and in 25.2.0.0 (master build). I followed your steps and I was not able to reproduce it. However, I was able to reproduce it by:

1. within a CALC sheet enter a comment to a cell
2. then modify the font type and size
4. after modifying the cell, edit the cell and copy the text
5. create a new comment and paste the text
6. result: there is a mismatch with the comments headers font and size for the two cells

Version: 25.2.0.0.alpha0

Hi Nicole,

thank you for your approach to explain it in other words so it can be better understood. I would like to add another phenomena that is related to the size of the headline in a cell's comment within CALC.

I just resized several cells' comments down to Verdana 7pt. Then, when hovering over the cells, not all the headlines within those cells followed the resizing. With an additional zoom down of the worksheet from 140 % to 130 % this behavior was a new experience and seems a bug on LO 24.8.3.2 x64
