What if you try to open after doing this: Help - Restart in safe mode and then Continue in safe mode?

Where? On the Windows desktop, Jump list item(s) on the Windows Taskbar, from the LibreOffice StartCenter?
Comment 3 Justine 2024-11-13 18:53:00 UTC
I do not know how to go into safe mode - my computer knowledge is zero.
When I click on the LibreOffice icon the desktop - it opens with all my documents shrunk down - 5 to a line.
I click on the documents and they will not open.

Click the Windows Start Menu and search for libreoffice. There should be an entry to start LibreOffice in safe mode.

Ah OK, have opened Libreoffice(safe mode) from the Windows start menu
Options are -
-Restore from backup
-Configure
-Extensions
-Reset to factory settings

Whick one do I choose, and do I have to check the boxes under the one I choose?
Thanks

As mentioned earlier, it has a button "Continue in safe mode" that you can use in order to see the effect without resetting to factory settings right away.

I click on the Continue in Safe mode button, Libreoffice loads and the box 'Drop a dcument here or open an app to create one' opens. I have tried to drag a document there & it doesn't do anything.
Above the 'Continue in safe mode' button are four options - the 'restore from backup is highlighted, is this correct?

To reset everything, choose Reset to factory settings and check Reset entire user profile. Click Apply changes and restart.
