Description: When recording changes, although they are initially well reported, once you save and close a document, some tracked changes are marked as the deletion of the immediate word, sentence or character. This cuases some problems, as accepting changes means deleting a lot of not intended changes so marked. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Record and view changes. Use several changes: adding text, deleting, modifying,... 2. Save and close the document 3. Open and compare changes with marked results. Actual Results: Some marked changes do not correspond with the intended ones. Unable to identified when this happens, as it always happens but not with all the changes. Expected Results: Changes are properly marked and ready to be accepted/rejected, either one by one or together. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: The information provided is too large.
Please attach a sample file showing the issue, reduce the size as much as possible without private information, and paste the information in Menu/Help/About LibreOffice, there is a copy icon.
Created attachment 197625 [details] Track changes trials In the doc you can find the different version of the trackedchanges document. It seems the changes and unitended deletions ocurred when the document was saved as Word 97-2003.

This is an Impress ODP file containing a screenshot, not a .doc file. It is not clear from your report, but do you mean that the tracked changes are saved fine to ODT, but when you save a version as DOC, they go wrong? In that case, attach an example ODT file, so we can test. What comes to mind is that the legacy binary DOC format might have limitations to what types of changes it supports.

Sorrym, but I lost visibility on the bug. It happened again a couple of days ago, but as I haven´t received this email , I did not record it. A short explanation is that, while tracking numerous changes in a document, some of them appear as deletions instead of changes. I´ll keep an eye and will try to report in due time. Anyway, If not able to do it, I will be happy wiht the deletion. Thanks again.
