Description gautham.speed 2024-11-15 17:44:24 UTC
Any changes to the Condition field under Filter Criteria in Standard Filter are rejected (filter changes not saved and don't take effect).
Comment 1 m_a_riosv 2024-11-16 01:30:36 UTC
Please attach a sample file, reduce the size as much as possible without private information, and paste the information in Menu/Help/About LibreOffice, there is a copy icon.

And please do not set your own reports as new, someone else should verify the reproduction of the problem.

Couldn't attach multiple files. Hence attached a screen recording to demonstrate the issue with filter change rather than attach the test spreadsheet..

The issue seems to occur when I try to change filter and save it **without clicking anywhere on the spreadsheet** while applying a filter, change filter conditions and save the change.
Comment 3 m_a_riosv 2024-11-23 00:28:12 UTC
You can add several files, one by one, in this only one spreadsheet it's needed to demonstrate the issue.

Please paste here the information on Menu/Help/About LibreOffice (There is an icon to copy)

New testing document.

Still present in version 24.8.3.2.

Did you try resetting your UserProfile? : Yes

Attached an new testing file.

In this testing file a standard filter is applied to the $Feuille1.A:A column.
This filter only display lines with the value "Valeur2"

If I modify the filter operator from "=" to "<>" then click OK, the filter result is not updated.

If I go back to the standard filter dialog, the filter operator remains "=".
Comment 7 BogdanB 2024-12-27 20:01:32 UTC
Indeed data is filtered, because i see just "Valeur 2", but I dont see the filter to be active in the sheet.
Comment 8 BogdanB 2024-12-27 20:03:49 UTC
I succeded to see the filter in Data - More Filter - Standard Filter, but what I selected is what I see after save/close/reopen.

Comment 9 vatairethibault 2024-12-29 00:12:19 UTC
There's no need to save/close/reopen the document.

When the document is open, displayed cells are those which contains the value "Valeur 2".
Then :
- click on the cell A2
- go to Data > More Filters > Standard Filter ...
- change the Condition field of the filter from "=" to "<>"
- click the 'OK' button

What happens :
The filter result doesn't change.

What should happens :
The filter should hide cells with value "Valeur 2" and display cells with any other value.
Comment 10 BogdanB 2024-12-29 06:36:53 UTC
I changed in Tools - Options - LibreOffice Calc - Calculate "Search criteria = and <> must apply to whole cells", being checked or unchecked, but I still have wrong results.

Gautham, can you try to test with this settings, if this can solve this problem?
