Description mechtilde 2024-11-24 08:30:44 UTC
Hello,

I have a bigger Calc file with several similar sheets. I work through it step by step. after each step I want to mark a sheet as finished or "work needed" by coloring the tab.

I can mark the tab with a color. I save and close the file.

When I open the file all tabs are uncolored.

So I lost the overview over my work. I have to look into each sheet again whether it is finished or not.

Thank you for submitting this bug. I attempted to reproduce this issue on a new Calc file, but all tabs show as colored when I reopen the file.

Can you submit a sample file which demonstrates this issue? Please also send the LibreOffice version information (Help -> About LibreOffice).

This problem still exists in version 25.8.3.2
Comment 8 GJord 2025-12-11 11:25:05 UTC
I tested this issue on Windows 11 using the reporter’s sample file and a new blank Calc file, but I cannot reproduce the problem.

When opening the file, none of the tabs appeared colored (Tab1 and Tab3 were plain gray).

I manually recolored Tabelle1 to red, saved, closed, and reopened the file.

The tab color persisted correctly after reopening.

New blank Calc file:

Recoloring a tab also persisted after save → close → reopen.

System information:

Hello mechtilde,

Sorry to hear that.

Is it possible for you to provide another .ods file or example of your issue ?
