Description pranke-marcel 2024-12-04 12:48:07 UTC
Description:
When a document uses the mail merge function, a seperate toolbar is displayed at the top.

After placing some fields, you can click on the arrow keys to check whether all fields are at the correct position or not.

The problem is: you can't toggle the preview off.
Once the arrow keys in the toolbar are clicked, the preview stays on permenantly.

If you place more fields afterwards, those fields are rendered like the preview function was never turned on.

Workaround: Open the Menu Edit. Select the option Change Database. Select your database again, that you are already using.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a dummy table with some fields.
2. Create an empty Writer document and start the Mail Merge Assistent.
3. Connect the dummy table with your writer document.
4. Place some fields in your Writer document.
5. Click on the button "next entry".

Actual Results:
A button to toggle the Mail Merge Preview off cannot be found.

Expected Results:
Click on the "Preview on/off" button to continue your work, while placing more fields.

Reproducible: Always
