Additional info:
----------------
a) Complete line with Input Fields with "Name" and "Value" are missing
b) Safe mode does ont heal that problem
c) was ok with my LibO installation I used before (probably Version: 24.2.3.2 (X86_64)) 😥

For me it shows the expression
'** Fehlerhafter Ausdruck **'

Even with

Hi, my step 2 wasnot a good Idea. Your observation is probably for date field right from "Auftragsdatum" (in new sample document). That machtes with that what I see in the document
Better: Date field right from "Datum".
In the new sample document I also integrated some screeenshots

Sample document with a new date format.

Ok, I see the behavior, but creating a new variable with date format seems it works fine.

The edit window opens, but does not save the edit, if the value is modified.

I can modify the field "Anfrage Datum" and "Auftragsdatum". Maybe Windows only bug.

I can edit the field without problem. Version: 25.2.0.0.beta1+, Linux.
Comment 14 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2024-12-16 06:47:24 UTC
Well, it's simply a too small dialog!

In my "More simple sample document" in the table with screenshots you see right from "In 24.8.3.2" my view on the Edit Field dialog. Looks perfect but "Value field is missing.

But when I drag downwards the bottom border of the dialog, input fields for Name and Value will appear.

I also see this problem when I try to insert a Date Variable. When I start only Name Input Field is visible, I have to drag down the bottom border of the dialog to get Value field visible
