Has the dialog box used for File.Save_As changed in Libreoffice 24? The side panel doesn't show any of the Places defined in Dolphin, whereas I seem to recall previous versions of Libreoffice did. On a trivial point, the spacing of entries in the dialog box isn't as compact as one can get it in Dolphin. Thanks and regards
Created attachment 198252 [details] save_as_screenshot Seems to be the usual screen and I believe the app is indeed Dolphin. Can't reproduce it myself. Version: 24.8.3.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 480(Build:2) CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.12; UI render: default; VCL: kf6 (cairo+wayland) Locale: es-ES (es_ES.UTF-8); UI: es-ES Calc: threaded
I added a screenshot of Calc instead of Writer, but just checked on Writer and the result was the same.

Hi Raúl, Thank you for investigating. The dialog I get is as per the attached screenshot. I get just the basic locations and the 'Removable Devices' - yes, I have a floppy disk drive! - but none of the user-defined Places that I've added in Dolphin. It does appear that I'm getting a different dialog to you, as I have none of the options you have to adjust the view format. If you 'Add to Places' a directory in Dolphin, does to this appear in the dialog? Regards
... and my version information is Version: 24.8.3.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 480(Build:2) CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-GB Ubuntu package version: 4:24.8.3~rc2-0ubuntu0.24.04.1~lo1 Calc: threaded I see that I have an Ubuntu packaged version, and my UI render is gtk3 (not sure why).
Hi Raúl, Thank you again for your comments: I wouldn't have got this far without you! Looking a bit deeper, I don't see any KDE integration in my installation - see below - which seems like it might be important. I do, though, have libreoffice-gtk3, which presumably explains the UI render information. However, if I try to install KDE integration using Discover, I get the message. "Error. This action cannot be completed as it would remove the following software which is critical to the system's operation: * LibreOffice Base - LibreOffice KDE Integration If you believe this is an error, please report it as a bug to the packagers of your distribution." I find this confusing, given that I don't (as far as I can tell) have any KDE integration installed. I also see that Discover says my libreoffice is installed from lp_ppa_libreoffice-noble-main, although I don't have this set up in Discover.Settings, and I thought I had a standard KDE Neon installation. I guess I should file a report in bugs.kde.org.
