Description delphidoc 2025-01-02 01:55:35 UTC
I installed LO 24.8.4.2 (X86_64) and its help pack to the same directory. LO Calc and the other modules will not show Help. They are looking for an HTML file (LibreOffice/help/index.html), which does not exist. In Tools-> Options there is no path for Help. I tried LO in Safe Mode with the same result.

The URL of the webpage that opens when I press F1:

file:///E:/Program%20Files/LibreOffice/help/index.html?Target=scalc/SC_HID_SC_WIN_GRIDWIN&Language=en-US&System=WIN&Version=24.8

The message on the webpage that appears:

Your file couldn’t be accessed
It may have been moved, edited, or deleted.
ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND

In Tools -> Options -> I have selected "Warn if local help is not installed". If I close LO and uninstall the newest Help system and restart LO I am not notified that local Help is not installed.

What install method?

Did you download LibreOffice_24.8.4.2_Win_x86-64.msi and LibreOffice_24.8.4.2_Win_x86-64_helppack_en-US.msi and check their HASH values [1]?

Did you actually install to "E:\Program Files", that would be a Custom install and to get the Help into the Program folder both would require a TARGETDIR= adjustment.
