Use Windows, activate experimental features from Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Advanced. 1. Open attachment 127323 [details] 2. Open the Comments Sidebar deck (possibly you have to switch to another deck first to reproduce) The whole Sidebar panel disappears and the only way to get it back is to reset the user profile (Help - Restart in Safe Mode). This does not happen in a blank document with no comments. That sample OOXML document (attachment 127323 [details]) has some *very wide* comments and the experimental Comments SB deck does not wrap them. So the width of the experimental SB deck expands to fill way too much of the app frame. But if I set the expert config stanza for org.openoffice.Office.UI.SideBar "MinimumWidth" to 'false' I have no issue adjusting the Comments content panel or on shift to another SB deck. So, need to accommodate (either scroll or wrap) such long lined comments. Not clear if it is just for filter imported OOXML or if ODF might have similar issues. Width of the deck showing the comments for attachment 127323 [details] sets a minimum deck width way to wide. But I'm working on a 4K monitor, so the LO app frame may be large enough for the extended SB deck to fit and still be able to grab its edge. So on a smaller displaysize/app frame guess the SB edges could end up hidden and non-grabbable to drag, requiring a profile reset to clear.
I can reproduce also on Linux: Version: 25.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: cac9c7db6257b27724d90d4a355e52e456ef7e08 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: x11 Locale: cs-CZ (cs_CZ.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
