Description golemus 2025-01-12 21:41:18 UTC
Description:
There is "Save as type" drop down menus in Save As dialog and Export dialog.

There is a lot of available options but majority of users will be needing maybe only 1-4 of them. Rest of them just make harder to find and choose the one you want.

Good applications have ability to hide options from these menus that you will never be using.

Would it be possible to add this feature to libreoffice?

Not sure what is best way to implement, one alternative is to make "choose save as types" button in save as and export dialog. There you would see all available types (docx, rtf, doc, xml, txt, etc..) with checkboxes when you can uncheck ones that you don't want to be visible.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open save as or export dialog
2.
3.

Do you have an example? To my knowledge we do the usual sorting where rarely used formats are down at the list.

Xnview MP has this feature. I've seen it in at least 1-2 other programs but I currently don't remember which they were.
