Description Valancy 2025-01-13 02:46:43 UTC
Description:
I add a background gradient (like red-and-black) to my page and save it. On re-opening LibreOffice the gradient has changed to a plain red.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Page Style<
2. Area<
3. Gradient<
4. Select Gradient<
5. Ok<
6. Save and Close<

Actual Results:
Re-open LibreOffice and the gradient is replaced by a solid color.

Expected Results:
The gradient I chose for a background should stay the exact gradient I chose for a background without changing itself to a solid color after I save, close, and re-open.

Reproducible: Always

Please, does it happen with all applications or with some in particular?

Maybe a duplicate of:

Unable to reproduce with

Version: 24.8.3.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 480(Build:2)
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.11; UI render: default; VCL: kf6 (cairo+wayland)
Locale: pt-BR (pt_BR.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Ubuntu package version: 4:24.8.3-0ubuntu0.24.10.1
Calc: threaded

Steps tested:
1) Open Writer
2) Right click the document and then "Page Style"
3) Select Area - Gradient and then I chose one of the presets (it also works with custom gradients)
4) Apply the gradient and save the file as odt
5) Close and reopen Writer
6) Reopen the file, the gradient is there as expected

When i open RTF from Word, with gradient backgound, then LO can read this gradient. Problem is in export of gradient to RTF file format.
