Description Telesto 2025-01-29 12:58:51 UTC
Description:
UI: Minimum line length for line with arrows (on both sides) or start scaling the arrows

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Draw
2. Draw line with arrows on both ends from drawing toolbar (at the left)
3. In the sidebar -> Set the width below 0,60 cm (say 0,50)

Bit of context: In intended to add some measures on a photograph. From here to here is X CM. However the arrow heads start to blend together

Actual Results:
Arrows start to overlap

Expected Results:
Not totally sure
A) Don't allow input which causes blending of arrows together
B) Scaling of the arrow heads; making smaller arrows allowed, without blending
C) Something else, I have no idea how other apps handle this

Reproducible: Always

Step 2 should include that you draw the line straight horizontally, Shift-drag works.

I'm not sure about the request. It might be unusual to limit what the user can do in such a case and might cause annoyance. The reported observation is only with the default arrow styles, but we can pick some other style where the overlap no longer happens with 0,50 cm.

Besides, for the stated use case of adding measurement lines to photograph, picking the line segment type endings might be best anyway and then you would be hard pressed to make them overlap.

Against preventing every weird situation. It's up to the user to ensure sane results.
