Having options to sort headings, rearranging the TOC in markdown files would be very useful. FOr example in a document like

# 1
## c
## a
## b

# 3
## e
## f
## d

# 2
## h
## g
## i

sorting or reverse sorting only H1 or only H2 alphabetically would be a great feature for big and cmplex markdown documents

Please attach a sample file, reduce the size as much as possible without private information, and paste the information in Menu/Help/About LibreOffice, there is a copy icon.

I mean it's not a bug, but a feature request. Anyway I see some admin made the change already, so it's all good. Please refer to the discussion thread at https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/markdown-headings-sorting/117515

Why not install LibreOfficeDev 26.2, the development version, open a Markdown file, and try rearranging the heading order using the Navigator?

It's not available in the repositories yet, but I checked the changelog and I found nothing about this. Is there a new feature they added that allows to do things that can't be done on the stable version?

Import and export in Markdown format are supported.
As a result, Markdown syntax such as H1 and H2 is mapped to paragraph styles like Heading 1 and Heading 2 in Writer, allowing them to be handled similarly to headings in .odt files.

You can download it from [1] and install it alongside the stable version.
