In the Image Properties dialog of writer, one of the panes is "Crop"; and that pane currently has a two-item radio button choice group: "Keep scale" and "Keep image size". When one chooses the latter option, what actually happens is that the cropped image is stretched to the dimensions of the original, uncropped, image. I claim that this functionality is not in frequent enough use, not does it serve an obviously useful function, enough to merit being available within this dialog. For things like that we have image editors. I would like to challenge people to defend the usefulness of this capability, and otherwise - just remove it.
Plus - it's the Crop pane, not the "general transformations" pane. Stretching is one thing, cropping is another.
