I have exactly the same problem in this new release using Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon. Add new fonts. Flush cache with sudo fc-cache -f -v^. Fonts appear in all other applications and in the O/S fonts dialog, but do not appear in LO. I am busy helping people to move from Office365 to LO, but this has stopped me dead. How can this not have been sorted? This should have a 'MAJOR' status.
1. Need to write exactly which fonts are not shown in LO 2. May check for existing bugs if reported.
