Steps to reproduce: 1. Give some cells range the category Text¹ (with styles or direct formatting). 2. Select the range, type some text or number. 3. Accept with Alt + Enter. Actual results: Cell category is changed to Number Standard. Expected results: Cell category remains as Text. The issue is evident (by the alignment) when entering numbers that must be treated as text (i.e., codes). As a workaround, you must hit Enter (or F9) then copy and paste the value from the first cell. ¹Notice that the Text cell style uses the category Number (not Text). As a workaround: 1. = 2. = 3. Accept with F9 (Recalculate) and Ctrl+D (Duplicate).
(In reply to LeroyG from comment #2) > As a workaround: > 1. = > 2. = > 3. Accept with F9 (Recalculate) and Ctrl+D (Duplicate). A drawback of this workaround, is that the content must be entered in the upper cell of the range to be filled.
