Description: I have a pretty elaborate Writer document (32MB, ~1100 pages, lots of tables, calculations, custom properties, images). It was working great in LO Writer 24.8.4, but in 25.2.0.3 I am having issues with it. In the first part of the document all is well, but from about halfway through the document, display is broken: - Images no longer displayed - Lines no longer displayed - Boundaries no longer displayed I can confirm it is a display issue, because a PDF export looks fine. Also, after rollback to 24.8.4 it display correctly throughout the entire document. OS: Arch Linux (fully updated) The issue starts at page 503. When I delete the first ~490 pages, the (new) first pages (which were previously broken) are now fine an the issue starts again at page 556. Tried renaming /home/patrick/.config/libreoffice to /home/patrick/.config/libreoffice.ori, to start with fresh settings, but that did not help. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open my pretty large document 2. Scroll down to about halfway 3. Images, Lines and Boundaries no longer displayed Actual Results: Text is readable, but Images, Lines and Boundaries are no longer displayed Expected Results: Images, Lines and Boundaries should still be displayed Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Version: 25.2.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 520(Build:3) CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.13; UI render: default; VCL: kf6 (cairo+wayland) Locale: nl-NL (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-US 25.2.0-1 Calc: threaded
Created attachment 199243 [details] Comparison between first half and second half of the document This image shows a comparison between first half and second half of the document. Tables and Page layouts are the same, just images, lines and boundaries no longer displayed.
Thanks for reporting this issue. It looks like a duplicated of bug 164185 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 164185 ***

Patrick: can you confirm View - Boundaries is active?
Correct, View - Boundaries is enabled. As you can see in the attachment, in the first part of the document Images, Boundaries and (table) lines are visible. Further along the document they suddenly are not displayed anymore. But they are looking fine in a PDF export, so the info is in de document, just not displayed anymore. The checkboxes you see are Bullets. They are displayed fine. As is the tabel cell backgroud color. As far as I can see, the issue is limited to Images, Boundaries and (table) lines from further along a (large) document. Due to Intelletual Property in the document, I am unfortunately not able to publicly share the entire document.

Although that may help removing personal/private information, we would still not want our competitors to get their hands on the rest of the information in the document... :-) (It's a template we use for our Technical Design Documents, which we charge our customers for)
If it helps, I might be able to share the document privately with someone who is willing/able to troubleshoot this.

Thanks! I have sent you a link to download the document. Yes, I know it's large/complex. :-) Unfortunately, it does not seem to be an option to use master/subdocuments as styles and custom properties don't propagate from the master document to the subdocuments. Hope you can find what is going on. As said, in LO 24.8.4, all is fine.

As said, in LO 24.8.4, all is fine. Thanks. Good news: I can reproduce with 25.2.0, but not with my fresh master build nor with the latest commit in the 25.2 bibisect repo. 25.2.1 should be released this week, so let's see how it works for you. Good to hear! I'll report back when I get the update! :-)
Unfortunately, it I still have the problem after upgrading to LO 25.2.1. Version: 25.2.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 520(Build:2) CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.13; UI render: default; VCL: kf6 (cairo+wayland) Locale: nl-NL (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-US 25.2.1-1 Calc: threaded
(In reply to Patrick Dijkgraaf from comment #12) > Unfortunately, it I still have the problem after upgrading to LO 25.2.1. Mystery solved and good news: the commit that fixed this issue is e0a6771a1c7e7ae662982c705ef28b59f815fe60 If you go to bug 164403 and look at the Whiteboard field, you see: target:25.8.0 target:25.2.2 So we have to wait until 25.2.2 to get the fix in that version line. However, it is possible that the release schedule for 25.2.2 will be expedited, if we get a certain macOS UI colour issue fixed in time.

Great, thanks for the update!
Hi. I can confirm that 25.2.2 has solved my issue!
