Description: When using a ruler in Writer, if different paragraphs have different indentation (1.2 and let's say another 1.8), then the ruler is not available when selecting these paragraphs. Although in other office packages, when using a ruler in this situation, it brings the margins to the same style. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Write 2 paragraphs of text 2.Add different indentation to them 3.Use the ruler(I can't) Actual Results: The ruler disappears and you have to go to the paragraph menu to bring them to a single indentation. Expected Results: The ruler brings two paragraphs that are different in indentation to the same indentation that the user chooses Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: -
I confirm this Version: 25.2.1.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e538fb6403facdfd3db0250c3b3278236c675c2a CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.11; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: ro-RO (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded But, also you have to keep in mind that having 2 values can create problems. For example, if I select both paragraphs with different indentation, right click, paragraph - paragraph, what value should be in Indent fields: for the first paragraph, for the second one, none?... maybe the same logic is with the ruler. If multiple values are there, none is shown. As a workaround, as I mentioned before, you can right-click on both paragraph and select paragraph - paragraph and choose your desired value.
Well, the ruler cannot display 2 values (it seems that in other office packages in this case it shows less) but why can't I use it while it has to reset these two values and set them to a new one?
