To me its a long lasting nagging issue: the default action in writer when doing copy and paste is wrong. in 99,999% of all cases I do want to paste unformated. The next best would be take over format of current document. I never - really can not remember if ever - want to take over the source-format. I think the best option would be to have the copy n paste default action to be configurable.
You can add to the Toolbar an Icon to past unformatted text. Menu>Tools>Customize>Toolbars, search for 'unformat', add to the toolbar.
Closing as RESOLVED NOTABUG
To me its not resolved. Call it a feature Request if not a bug, but closing its definitely wrong And a icon in the Toolbar ist certainly not what one wants. 1st. all standard paste triggers: keybord shortcut, right mouse menue, program menue, Iconbar should all behave the same and (by config) with paste unformated. 2nd. a icon in the Toolbar means I had to adust all computers I work with the same (like 6-7 Libreoffice instances) + Iconbar means mouse-movement. I prefer the keybord shortcut to minimize mouse movements to a minimum!
Just a remark: The Support Team of Libreoffice at Mastodon advised me to file this issue AS A BUG! So Please if you think it should be in another system like feature requests or so, feel free to move it, but closing is not appropriate
Please fix this. I agree, and it causes me a lot of problems daily. It's insane!
