'Macro Manager' is a new experimental feature coming with 25.2
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/25.2#Experimental_Features

'Basic Macro Organizer' comes with Tools-Select Module...

Aha, at the moment it needs to be added manually via Tools - Customize. Let's ask Jim what he think.

The point is that the new menu is shown for most docs but the attached one.

Do you have an example Bugzilla attachment with which it works? I tried with a random one and it didn't show up.

No need for customization:
Simply activate experimental features from LO-Options dialog

Sure, I always have it active, but the menu item didn't show up in the other file I tried. So I'm asking for a file that works for you.

I get the menu from LO desktop without opening a document

Indeed, we can access it in the context of Start Center.

Any new document will be accompanied with 'Macro Manager' pulldown proposal.

Unless one changes the User interface to NotebookBar variations

Aha, it seems I managed to delete it for good from Customize and that gave me the wrong impression...
Comment 13 Rafael Lima 2025-03-11 18:57:53 UTC
I can confirm that specifically with this file, the Macro Manager command is not available in the menu.

However, note that if you unzip the file, it contains its own customized "menubar.xml", which explains why the command is not available.

Before seeing Rafael's comment I tried to figure out why this was happening and came up with:

"Possibly the Macro Manager... command and the separator were manually removed from the Tools|Macros menu using the Customize dialog? For me, adding both of these and then saving the document results in them appearing the next time the document is opened."

Good spotting, so let's close.
