Description Philipp Swoboda 2025-03-12 11:27:13 UTC
Description:
Usually, I expect a new bullet point, as soon as I start a new line by pressing "Enter".

With the example document, this is impossible. I cannot add new bullet points.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the attached document
2.Click on the text box and try to add new bullet points

Actual Results:
It is not possible to continue the list within the text box (adding new bullet points)

Expected Results:
"Shift+Enter": New line in current bullet point
"Enter": Start new bullet point

Reproducible: Always

Hi,

if I opened the attached doc I also can't insert a new bullet, but if I copy it to a new text box it is possible.

Is it a general issue or only for this text box?
Comment 3 Philipp Swoboda 2025-03-13 14:20:25 UTC
Hi,

the text box is the problem.
If I copy the text to a new text box,
it works fine (my bad that I haven't got this idea).

So the behavior is the same as yours.

I can not reproduce with using windows.

Results are same as Jessica. I can not insert a new bullet on your attached doc but works fine with copy and paste on a new box or new doc.

Using your attachment, I achieve the same results as Jessica and Juan Q where I cannot add a new bullet point in that text box. Anything outside of that specific text box however works fine.

Same as the other testers, I cannot add a bullet point in your text box, but I can add them fine when copying over the text or creating new text in a new text box. I have not been able to reproduce the bug with my own files.

I can confirm with LO 4.1 and 25.8. How the text box/ file was created? Can you reproduce with new file?
