Description: Seems like modifying animation duration of an inserted object, whatever the effect is, alters badly the animation. If I use the default duration, the movement is smooth, but if I set duration to 2 seconds, the course of the movement is weird. For example, if I use the Fly In effect, and set the duration to 2 secs, the movement is split in two parts : half of it is a smooth movement, but the second half is like a teleportation. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert an object (let's say a square) 2. Add an animation on it (let's say a Entrance > Fly In) 3. Play the animation, everything's seems well 4. Alter duration to say 2 seconds 5. Play the animation : the course is half smooth, half teleportation Actual Results: For the fly effect (but other effects are affected too), the course is half smooth, half teleportation. Expected Results: A smooth course from start to finish Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Version: 25.2.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: d3abf4aee5fd705e4a92bba33a32f40bc4e56f49 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
Oh, and just tested, applying 1 second DELAY to 0,5s duration shunt all the animation, the object now only teleports after ~1,5 sec.
Hello Mathieu, Thank you for reporting the bug. Can you see if bug 148957 is similar to your problem so that I can mark your report as a duplicate of it? (Later bugs are generally marked as duplicates of earlier bugs).
Sorry. Doesn't seems to be the case, as 148957 bug seems to impact and be impacted by multiple animations, whereas my bug only concerns the duration which mess the animation position and timing. But I admit I don't know if it's linked to the bezier curve 😄
I am able to reproduce the outcome. It seems to work fine when presenting the slide show. It only skips the animation when previewing.
