Description: I have a Base application. I a form a have a simple textfield (Varchar). When I try to write a special character the corresponding menu item is greyed out. Using the context menu I get the menu item but there is no reaction after clicking on it. Typing the decimal value via Alt+number works. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a form with a textfield 2.try to type the symbol for degrees (decimal 176) using the menu entry 3. The item "Special characters" is inactiv 4. Using the context menu, "Special characters is active" but after clicking on it there is nocreaction 5. Typing Alt+0175 works. Result: ° Actual Results: See description Expected Results: ° Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: This is a nasty problem.
Have tested this with OpenSUSE Linux 15.6. Menue item is grayed out. Could choose the special character through context menue when pressing OK in the dialog. Works here without any problem in Version: 24.8.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: fddf2685c70b461e7832239a0162a77216259f22 CPU threads: 6; OS: Linux 6.4; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: de-DE Calc: threaded Might be a special Windows bug.

Switched to Windows 11, latest version. LibreOffice 25.8.0.4 The symbol for special characters is greyed out. In the context menu the entry is active but clicking on it, nothing happens. Greetings Hans
