Description: I have a custom background picture for a set of LibreOffice Calc charts. By default the picture is set to no transparency. Selecting transparency defaults to 50%, I change it to 80%, and save the chart. After saving and closing the Calc file on reopening the picture background in the chart is back to the default no transparency setting. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Make a chart in Calc. Set the background to "image" and choose style "stretched" (chart area: area), a dark image will show the bug most clearly; Change the default transparency "no transparency" to "transparency" and select 80% (chart area: transparency). "OK" to save the changes to the chart, save and exit the file. 2.re-open the file and observe the chart background is dark again. Go back into the chart and observe that the transparency for the background image is reset to "no transparency" (chart area: transparency 3. Actual Results: The custom transparency setting for the chart's background image was not saved. The image selected and the style ("stretched" in this case) are preserved. Expected Results: To get the desired image background transparency the settings must be manually applied each time the file with the charts is opened. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: The software should have applied the Calc chart's specified custom transparency settings when the file was next opened
Please attach a sample file, reduce the size as much as possible without private information, and paste the information in Menu/Help/About LibreOffice, there is a copy icon.

(In reply to carter.yeager from comment #2) > Created attachment 199957 [details] > Calc chart with custom image background-transparency resets on opening The format is the legacy binary .xls format, which should never be used when *working* on something, but *only* as an export target. I found an older report for transparency in .xls charts, so let's close as dupe of it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 57827 ***
