Description Volga 2025-03-26 12:55:12 UTC
Description:
Although modern Adobe Illustrator file (.ai) is PDF based, there are also some older files that used PostScript based format. Unfortunately, LibreOffice failed to read them. If LibreOffice add support for them, it's possible to get graphics from them if user want to, you may consider to make the filter works with Ghostscript.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open https://web.archive.org/web/20081113222919/http://www.km.gov.lv/UI/main.asp?id=12781
2. Download any file from its EPS link
3. Decompress ZIP package
4. Open https://www.ghostscript.com/releases/gsdnld.html to get Ghostscript
5. Open AI file with LibreOffice

Actual Results:
Even if I've already installed Ghostscript, the AI file is opened with LibreOffice Writer, and imported as plain text.

Expected Results:
The AI file should be opened with LibreOffice Draw.

Reproducible: Always
