The Animation panel in the Sidebar 'Animation' deck (<Alt>+7 shortcut) seems to provide all tools and a GUI to assign and preview animation for elements of individual slides. The Sidebar Deck can be undocked, and resized larger if preferred. While running the slide show from any slide allows full screen assessment of the layout of the presentation and its effects. I can't see that anything else is required that is not already present. Please explain what this enhancement might include, and how it would be an improvement over what is already provided.

I think OP means they want to see a timeline with overlapping bars, like in the screenshots. We don't have that on the sidebar.
... and he hasn't specifically asked for that to be available on the sidebar.
@wodsfort: Please comment. And additionally to "I want a visual timeline" please explain why this feature is needed. This use case typically includes a goal and the workflow like "I want to achieve Foo by doing Bar and fail because of Baz". Or comment if you don't have a specific workflow in mind but recommend the timeline as a design goodie.
Hi,sorry i have problems with nontification so didn`t see your meassages earlier.I not have specific workflow but i`ll send as I see this animations panell soon.

We discussed the topic in the design meeting. The "advanced timeline", as MSO calls this feature, is a nice addition but serves an unclear use case. Why would you control the duration of animations with the mouse, and what benefit comes from seeing the overlap (the sequence is clear with the list)? But no objection to implement the feature. But please with an option to disable it.
(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #9) > please with an option to disable it. Yes,I agree
