Created attachment 200204 [details] Screenshot of the issue in gen backend If the Notes Pane is undocked, and neared to the lower or right edge of the Impress window, it does not indicate with dashed outline that it would snap to the window edge. 1. Open a new presentation with a non-GTK backend (GTK does not allow it to be undocked - but maybe that's the correct way for this to work) 2. Enable View - Notes Pane 3. Tear it off from the bottom window edge 4. Try to near it back to the bottom window edge -> There is no dashed outline indicating it would snap back On the other hand, maybe the ability to be torn off should be removed - I don't see why this makes sense in the first place (UX input?) Hello Gabor Kelemen, This may be a non-GTK and Linux issue. I was unable to reproduce the bug in the Windows version of Master. Version: 25.8.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 19f3b72f34c487dc97d582712d21734a7e055fd5 CPU threads: 22; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26100); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded

The expected behavior is correct, a dashed or dotted rectangle should indicate the docking area when released. And in fact it works like this - at least on macOS. When dragging to the bottom of the sidebar to the right edge of the document canvas and even on the bottom I see the rectangle. But the hotspot is not too large, looks like only the scrollbar triggers the docking.
