Description: I use comments in margin. Writer assign them automatically the "Comments" style and respect the language of the rest of the text: my default language is non-english (catalan), ans Writer assign that language to comments to (as expected). When I save a document in .odt format, all works well. But when I export it to .docx format, when I reopen it the style assigned to comments is "blank" (in the Properties side panel the style box is empty) and the language is US English, while the rest of the document keeps my language and styles. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Write a comment in margin 2.Save document as .docx 3.Reopen the document Actual Results: The comments in margin present no style (or a default one), not the "Comment" style, and the language of the original document (non english in this case) is lost in the comments, that fall back to US english. The rest of the text is right. Expected Results: Respect the style and language in the comments in margin Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: I've tried versions 24.2.7.2, 24.8.2.1 and 25.2. All users in my computer experience the same problem, even if I reinstall LO. My current setup is: Version: 24.2.7.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 420(Build:2) CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: ca-ES (ca_ES.UTF-8); UI: ca-ES Ubuntu package version: 4:24.2.7-0ubuntu0.24.04.3 Calc: threaded
Created attachment 200453 [details] Document in odt format showing a comment This document contains only a line of text and a comment in the margin, both in catalan language.
Created attachment 200454 [details] The same document saved as docx Here is the same document saved in docx format. As you can see, the language of the comment in the margin has been changed to US English and no style is assigned to it. The main text is right, unchanged.
