Description: I wrote a short paragraph in English using the default paragraph style, left-to-right text direction and left alignment. I tried several fonts, but to simplify the problem, I chose the popular Arial font, which also supports Arabic. Then, I wrote a new short paragraph, after the previous one, in Arabic using the same style, changing the text direction and alignment from right to left. Then, I wrote a new third paragraph in English using the style of the first paragraph. I didn't face any problems with the program's performance when trying to select or edit text, whether it was a part of a paragraph, a full paragraph, or even overlapping paragraphs (of course, when selecting the text). However, when trying to write in a language like English, which is LTR, and writing in a language like Arabic, which is RTL, in a single paragraph (Or typing inside Arabic text with English text), the text in this paragraph is very slow in terms of writing, editing, or even selecting text. I was using old version of LibreOffice (24.2.7.2 (X86_64)) and tried to update to latest stable one (25.2.2.2), but nothing is fixed. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Write any English or Arabic paragraph. 2.Try to write inside the same paragraph in another language that the paragraph was written. 3.Try selecting or editing this paragraph. Actual Results: Writing, editing, or selecting the text is so laggy. Expected Results: Writing, editing, or selecting the text must be smooth. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Version: 25.2.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 520(Build:2) CPU threads: 32; OS: Linux 6.11; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Ubuntu package version: 4:25.2.2-0ubuntu0.24.04.1~lo1 Calc: threaded OS: Linux Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900HX GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Max-Q / Mobile
