Description S21 2025-04-21 05:32:52 UTC
Description:
More ambiguous behavior than a bug. When inserting text into LibreCalc, the program for some reason tries by default to guess the column separator and guesses incorrectly in 90% of cases. Why not give the user the option to choose the behavior (for example, use the previous option of specifying the separator manually) instead of trying to make the program guess. On the 60th time, when in my 500-row table the import split the web link to "http" and "github.com/something", my patience gave out.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert text to LibreCalc spreadsheet

Actual Results:
Maybe it detect correctly

Expected Results:
But most of the time it is not

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
There is option "Separated by" with following choice of seperators, that option must be a default.
