Description: In previous versions of LibreOffice, when I used the “Save As” or “Export to PDF” function, the default folder shown was the same as the folder where the currently opened file was located. Now, LibreOffice always defaults to the last folder I used to save or export a file, regardless of the current file’s location. This change breaks expected behavior and reduces productivity, especially when working with files from different directories. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a file from folder A 2. Use “Export to PDF” → notice that the folder suggested is not A, but the last used folder (say, folder B) 3. Repeat with “Save As” and the behavior is the same Expected behavior: The “Save As” and “Export to PDF” dialogs should default to the directory of the currently opened file, not the last used directory. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a file from folder A 2. Use “Export to PDF” → notice that the folder suggested is not A, but the last used folder (say, folder B) 3. Repeat with “Save As” and the behavior is the same Actual Results: When using “Save As” or “Export to PDF”, the default folder shown is the last folder used for any save/export operation, instead of the folder where the currently opened file is located. Expected Results: The “Save As” or “Export to PDF” dialog should open in the same folder where the currently opened file is located. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: LibreOffice 24.8.6.2 Windows 11
