Description Tuomas Hietala 2025-05-06 14:07:46 UTC
Description:
UI string 3WiMS is an extended tip which reads "Always updates links while loading a document, and only if the document is in a trusted file location or the global security level is Low (Not recommended)."

The phrasing ("Always ... and only if") is quite ambiguous, leaving the meaning unclear. Are links really updated always (unconditionally)? Or do the mentioned conditions in fact apply (in which case "always" is misleading)?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. See https://translations.documentfoundation.org/translate/libo_ui-master/swmessages/en/?checksum=0e45ac10c668cc69

Actual Results:
The meaning of the extended tip is unclear.

Expected Results:
The wording/phrasing of the extended tip makes the meaning clear and unambiguous.

Reproducible: Always

The tip was extracted from an <ahelp> item in 2020 with c1eb680261107877bf2cea9339e89e23a0a29371

Maybe Olivier has an idea for improving it.
