Description: When I set the Calc sheet's page to landscape orientation, then select a range of cells that should print out on one page in landscape orientation, then Ctrl-P and Print Selected Cells in the Print command, the Preview and actual Printing does not recognize the landscape orientation. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Set Calc page layout to landscape for the sheet. 2.Select/highlight a segment of the full calc sheet that will fit onto one page when printed. 3. Ctrl-P. Print Selected Cells. 4. Check Preview. Actual Results: Instead of printing the one page of selected cells in landscape layout, the page prints in portrait layout. The cells that are included are just those that fit the portrait width. But, for height, I can see that the correct amount shows as if it were landscape. Expected Results: I expect to see one page of print in landscape mode - all the selected cells fitting the width and depth appropriate to landscape. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: With Preview selected as well as Print Selected Cells only, the preview does show that the selection and landscape mode are not being recognized. I have tested and found this same problem to exist in three different spreadsheet files that I am using a lot recently, so it is not confined to just setting in one file - it seems to be inherent in LibreOffice. Unfortunately, I cannot remember exactly when this started to occur, but it is fairly recent - probably the last 3 or 4 days - perhaps from May 5 or so. Prior to that, the process of selecting cells and printing them in landscape always worked as expected.

Created attachment 200746 [details] shows incorrect/problem orientation when Print Selected Cells is selected instead of Print Full Sheet In each of the screenshot examples, I did actually print out the request and can confirm that the printing was as shown in the preview. That is, the problem seems to be confined to when landscape orientation is set and only some cells are selected in the Ctrl-P option [Print Selected Cells]
Seems the paper layout orientation, change to Automatic, changing it to Landscape shows as expected. Not sure if it is a bug or designed behavior.
Thanks. Sorry to be dense, but where is this setting to "Automatic?" When I have the page layout set to landscape [the only choice is landscape or portrait, no "automatic"], and use Ctrl-P, if the "collation and paper sides From Which" is set to "Print Selected Sheets" then printing is correct. If I change the "collation and paper sides From Which" to "Print Selected Cells" then it ignores the landscape setting and presents portrait orientation, which is incorrect. Some further information from what I was just doing to try to find your suggested "automatic" setting... if I try to go back and reset the "collation and paper sides From Which" to Print Selected Sheet the system stays in portrait orientation, whereas it should be in and staying in landscape and presenting whatever I have selected - cells or sheet. AS for bug or design - I can't comment on that until I learn what the automatic setting is. But, I can observe this: until recently the Ctrl-P operated as one would expect: Set the page orientation of the sheet in Page Layout; Ctrl-P honors that orientation and prints according to what I select - some cells or the whole sheet. That seemed simple and logical to me and it has worked forever and a day - I have used LO Calc for years, both in Windows and now in Linux. In fact, my only disappointment in Linux is that the Duplex capability does not seem to be available at all, which is surprising. But, that's not part of this simple task of printing what I select in the "...From Which" option, according to the orientation that is set for the sheet.

Thanks! Now I feel REALLY dense, having missed that. Just because I've never had to use that, or at least for as long as I can remember... seems a perfectly simple solution. I see now why your comment related to "bug or design". Although it seems redundant to deal with page layout again after setting it for the sheet, I'm sure there must be some reason to have it. Anyway, I can certainly live with that and appreciate your prompt responses to this!
