Description: Hello colleagues, To differentiate LibreOffice from competitors I ask that we include additional LibreOffice Themes by default that currently need to be added as extensions. This will be helpful for those people that have issues acquiring extensions and will improve the visual look of the application. In addition to the default current themes I propose that the additional themes "OceanBlue", "Dark Grey" and "Office 2003 Blue" be included by default. The "Lime Theme" might be something to consider also, however I do not like this one as much as the other 3 themes. This is a small addition but will include user satisfaction for those people that like using different themes. Kind regards, John Steps to Reproduce: 1.N/A 2. 3. Actual Results: N/A Expected Results: When selecting available themes in LibreOffice the proposed extensions are installed by default. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Please ensure additional themes in LibreOffice are installed by default to aid in the positive experience of users.
Took a peek and it seems all three suggestions use a light canvas no matter if they are more in the light or dark mode camp. It would be nice to include at least one template supporting dark canvas. Otherwise this seems like a legit feature request. Setting to new. Suggested templpates: - OceanBlue - Dark Grey - Office 2003 Blue
As mentioned previously I am open to additional themes being added, particularly ones using a dark canvas by default. I think we have some solid contenders, if there is a dark canvas one let's add that and see if we can get these in the 25.8 release. The themes could be changed after that if people are not happy or have better suggestions.
Don't think we should ship extensions by default. Installing from the site is always a click away, the choice of themes is arbitrary, and usually it can't be uninstalled. Plus, I don't see how this could be easily hacked.
Any extension added is arbitrary, this is about providing an improved initial user experience for an area rapidly improving in LibreOffice by highlighting our community artists. Shipping themes by default ensures that everyone has the same standardised functionality. That is a good position to be in. If people don't like the themes then they can ask for them to be changed. This is about highlighting functionality within LibreOffice and providing a competitive advantage for an area that other office suites do not provide. Also remember not everyone understands the concept of extensions to improve functionality, how they are installed etc. We can't also assume that everyone has universal internet access. So providing some additional themes can only be a positive experience.
Do we all feel we have dark themes which are solid enough for us to bundle? Also - how many themes do we have, at all? Dark, and light?

I think we should ship atleast one dark theme by default, which we load instead of using the "system colors" for dark mode on windows. the colors situation on windows is really bad.

I totally agree Sahil, but why not show off the creative work in our community? The like that doesn't exist with proprietary software.
