Description DrM 2025-05-27 12:30:05 UTC
Description:
Save as... defaults to ~/Documents.

In the typical use case, the user wants this alternative format such as docx, in the directory the file was opened from.

Navigating from the file save window back to the actual directory where the file belongs, is laborious, upwards of 10 mouse clicks.

Therefore it is clear that defaulting to ~/Documents, is simply not correct.

The default needs to be the directory where the file originates for gui invocation, and the working directory for command line invocation.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a file in libreoffice
2. Select file menu item "Save as..."
3.

Actual Results:
Displays file save widget in the directory ~/Documents

Expected Results:
The file save widget should open in the directory where the file came from.

Reproducible: Always
