Description yarma22 2025-05-27 22:49:14 UTC
Description:
When using the tabbed toolbar, there seem to be an issue with the Page Margins widget. The displayed value of the margins is 0.00", even though they are actually set to a different value (as confirmed by the Page Style dialog). And changing the value of the margins in the widget doesn’t have any impact, nor clicking the +/- buttons.

Note that the buttons to switch between the margin presets (Narrow, Normal, Wide, etc.) are working fine.

Please find below an screenshot with a new document, i.e. default settings (margin = 0.79"), showing the issue with the Page Margins widget, as well as the actual values in the Page Style dialog.

I’ve tried resetting my user profile and the issue still exists. I’ve experienced this issue for a while, so I don’t think it’s specific to the latest version.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set the UI to Tabbed
2. Create a new document
3. In the Layout tab, click on Page Margins to open the widget
4. Notice the margins are all displayed with a value of 0.00"
5. Try changing the value of the margins, this has no impact on the document
6. Additionally, notice that the +/- buttons are not working either
7. Click on More Options to open the Page Style dialog
8. Notice the value of the margins are actually set to 0.79"

Actual Results:
- The margins are all displayed with a value of 0.00"
- Changing the value of the margins has no impact on the document
- The +/- buttons are not working either

Expected Results:
The values of the margins in the widget should reflect those of the document. It should also be possible to edit the values of the margins from the widget.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Current workaround is to edit the values of the margins from the Page Style dialog.
