Description gpe 2025-05-28 06:42:01 UTC
Description:
Due to the political scene currently we have looked into LibreOffice as an alternative to Microsoft's Office package. Which works great mostly, but on rare occastions we have experienced that text disapears when opening in Writer. For some reason the text looks to be gathered in the bottom of the document.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached document in LibreOffice Writer

Actual Results:
Notice that text that should have been located on the 2., 3. and 4. page are missing. The missing text is lumped together at the bottom of the document.

Expected Results:
If you open the same document in Microsoft Word, the text is there. I have also attached a gif showing the difference between opening in Word vs LibreOffice Writer.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
In response to "Did you try resetting your UserProfile?": I just installed LibreOffice, and also have the same issue when using Collabora.

The document have been redacted to remove sensitive information, i.e. text and images have been changed. Metadata have also been stripped from the document.

FWIW: in case this bug being crucial I would suggest contacting Collabora. A bit more information about professional support in general at: https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/professional-support/

It can take a while before this being addressed without support
