Created attachment 201071 [details] Sample Black text in dark mode
Found that text may have black color assigned (not sure how to verify this). One would expect Writer to INVERT font colors in dark mode. Reapplying the style with automatic font color doesn't fix the paragraph color to automatic. This also appears to be a workflow issue: most users likely don't know what automatic font color even means. There needs to be a warning when user tries to e.g. apply a black color font offering to apply automatic color font instead and/or some information about what automatic font color is about.
It looks like the text might have black color set, but it’s hard to tell for sure. When using dark mode, you’d expect the font colors to switch automatically. Just reapplying the style with automatic font color doesn’t change the text back to automatic. This seems confusing for most users since many probably don’t know what “automatic font color” means. It would help if there was a warning or message when someone tries to pick black font color, suggesting they use automatic color instead, and explaining what automatic font color does. Please try changing the theme. Menu>Tools>Options>LibreOffice>Appearance
I changed LibreOffice>Appearance theme from "system" to "dark" and don't see any changes. The font in the attached ODT is still black.
