Description wawa 2025-06-03 07:06:13 UTC
Description:
If I set a dark background color and the text in a cell is forced to do line wrapping the foreground color changes from white (automatic decision) to black. If I increase the column width that no wrapping is necessary the foreground color changes back to white.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set a dark background color to a cell. E.G "Black"
2. Make sure foreground color in that cell is set to "automatic"
3. Activate "Text umbrechen" (German) for line wrapping

Actual Results:
Foreground color of that cell changes to black

Expected Results:
Foreground color keeps white appearance

Reproducible: Always

Seems it is affected by the theme selection.

This does _not_ show this behavior:

- Export to pdf
- Same document loaded into Nextcloud collaboration office

After a little tweaking with libreoffice:

- The **Theme-Selection** seems to be the culprit

I can confirm this behavior.

I tried:

1) changing the Expert Configuration in the Advanced Options as suggested in this Ask:
https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/preventing-text-overflow-in-a-calc-cell/62037

2) changing the current color in [Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Appearance > Customization: Calc Text overflow indicator] to any other color

In both cases, no effect whatsoever.

I don't see the effect shown in the screenshot when I open attachment 201081 [details] on Windows and Linux. The text is white everywhere. This is both with 25.2 and the latest versions.

Please everyone give an update on what you see with 25.8.
