Description layaivyfun 2025-06-10 09:10:46 UTC
Description:
Using libre with the computer set to dark mode many of the toolbar items are near or entirely unreadable due to the programmes own text colour being dark grey against the dark grey background.

I have tried changing the font colour in tools>options in all view/application colours/accessibility and none of those allowed me to see the items any better.

The only way I have found to make these items readable is to change the programme to light mode which is really not preferable as that causes issues with my eyes

This issue occurs across writer/calc/draw/impress

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set system theme to dark mode
2. open libre office application
3. note that many of the items in the toolbar are unreadable or near unreadable due to clashing of default text colour
4. change the appearance to light mode to confirm that these icons only have visibility issues in dark mode

Actual Results:
you will see that many icons cannot be seen unless you hover over them as that changes their colour slightly

Expected Results:
you should be able to load into the application with the system or application set to dark mode and be able to see all of the items in the same way you are able to in light mode

Reproducible: Always
