Description joebros 2025-07-01 13:23:49 UTC
Description:
A simple table with multiple merge cells constructed in MS word, when I open through writer, the end the line separated at the end of 1st page slightly different compared to MS word. I tried duplicate the same table in writer but shows same result while MS word still shows properly. Last but not least, is it possible to have the line of table to in opposite colour for better visual?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Construct a table as shown
2. Observe at the end of page 1 to page 2

Actual Results:
separated table line observed in writer and not in MS word

Expected Results:
table line should be behave similar to those in word and not separated like in writer

Reproducible: Always

There is a workaround, which need to split the cells back, and lines at the end of table are fixed

It seems that the problem is that the table border is not applied to the bottom of columns, where the bottom cell does not correspond to other columns with more cells in them. See attached screenshot.

Adding bibisectrequest for the question why results is slightly worse now compared to 24.2

However it never mimicked word, so without regression keyword
