Description: The ISO date format is yyyy-mm-dd It is what I prefer as well, because it makes sorting more intuitive and not as ambiguous as the US format mm/dd/yyyy (e.g. what is 12/09/2025?) It appears that the date field inserted is changed to US format Steps to Reproduce: 1.insert docinformation:modified field into document 2.select ymd format 3.save document open document Actual Results: date has changed to mdy format Expected Results: format set should be persistent Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: TextDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Linux (All) OS is 64bit: yes Version: 26.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: bc58a54d513702bc07906627dce073f05d7978fd CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.11; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-ZA (en_ZA.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
Created attachment 201662 [details] doc display incrorretc date format It appears that it is not SAVED in the wrong format, but when it OPENS the document it changes the format. This is so when I open doc in version 24.2.7.2 as well. but not in older versions (cannot recall how far back) HOWEVER: when I open the doc with Abiword, the format is correct: ymd
Can't confirm with Version: 25.2.4.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 33e196637044ead23f5c3226cde09b47731f7e27 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (10.0 build 26100); UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: de-DE Calc: CL threaded Steps: 1. Field name is DocInformation:3CreatedDate. Have you checked settings in document properties (but I must admit, that I'm not so familiar with that topic)
